Summer Reading Club

The Busselton and Dunsborough Libraries have been running a summer reading club for more than 15 years now, encouraging primary school aged children to read during the holidays for wonderful incentives.

Who: For primary school aged kids (kindy to year 6, or ages 4-12)

How: Come into the library in person and register for the Summer Reading Club at the front desk. You will be given a reading log (booklet format) and instructions on how to complete it.

When: You can register for the Summer Reading Club as of MONDAY 14th December (but you can come and register any time between then and the end of the summer school holidays).

What: Every time you read for 15 minutes, colour in a square of your reading log. When you come into the library, show a staff member your coloured-in squares. We have a fun incentive prize for every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour and 4 hours of reading.

Once you reach 10 hours of reading throughout the holidays you’ll unlock an invitation to a magical end of summer party!
