An AHD takes the guessing away. It lets you write down your wishes about medical treatment\, comfort\, and care ahead of time. \nIt’s not about giving up or expecting the worst. It’s about: \n\nkeeping control over your own body and choices\nmaking things easier for the people you love\nreducing stress\, conflict\, and guilt for family in a crisis\nhelping doctors care for you in a way that fits your values\n\nYou don’t need to know medical terms or have everything figured out.
