A work of fiction inspired by the Falklands conflict of 1982. The accidental death of two small boys when their car rolls over a cliff is at the bottom o f this story. Their mother can never forgive the driver (her very best friend) for this disaster. As well, two children have separately disappeared, and when a third is lost, rumours start flying around the grieving mother—did she kill them?
Set in the Falklands, the descriptions of land, sea and sky are appealing and you can feel the cold.
