Your Local Studies Collection

The Local Studies Collection is available to anyone with an interest in the people, places, events and history of the Busselton area.

The aim of the Local Studies Collection is to collect, document, permanently preserve and promote all resource materials that reflect the history, development, culture and society of the City of Busselton area. The Collection Consists of:

  • Maps & plans
  • Oral histories and transcripts
  • Books and reports
  • Local newspapers and journals
  • Rate books
  • Old Council minutes
  • Clippings, articles & brochures
  • Pamphlets, postcards & tickets
  • Unpublished material

Access

  • Items available for loan are held at the Busselton and Dunsborough libraries.
  • Fragile and rare items are kept under archival conditions at the Busselton Library.
  • Items available for loan can be accesssed in the same way as regular library items.
  • Archival items may be viewed in either library by prearrangement.
  • Our online presence is growing! Check the Local Studies Gallery for new photo uploads.
