If you’re in Primary School (age 4 – 12) then this Summer Reading Challenge is for you. The challenge is to read for a minimum of 10 hours over the summer school holidays (that’s just 15 minutes a day). Read alone, with friends or family, or have someone read to you. You can read ANYTHING! Books, graphic novels, magazines, audiobooks, eBooks and more! Unlock prizes as you read, as well as an invite to a WILD end-of-the-holidays party for kids who finish their 10 hours!
Registrations open Monday 6th December at the Busselton or Dunsborough Libraries to pick up your reading log kit for the challenge.

Once registered, start logging your reading times than come in to the library and collect a wild reward bead for every 15 minutes of reading you do. You can add this bead to a special necklace the library will provide you when you have completed your first 15 minutes of reading. When your reading log is full (that means you’ve read for 10 hours), hand it in to the library and await your invitation to a very special Summer Reading Club Finale Party*.

The party will be WILD and an invitation can only be unlocked by finishing your reading log. There will be games, music, activities, treats, prizes and plenty of surprises. But remember it’s only for those who finish their minimum 10 hours of reading over the school holidays. Reading logs must be brought back to the library by close of business Saturday 22nd January to receive your exclusive and wild invitation.

*The party will be held on Thursday 27th January, 6pm in Busselton and Friday 28th January, 5.30pm in Dunsborough. Invites will be emailed in one big hit closer to the date, to those who finish their reading logs, but please keep these dates free for the time being!
