Not normally a fan of murder mysteries or thrillers I found this one a little slow to start with as the writer set the scene, but as it progressed the tension built and it became thoroughly addictive. It is currently being made as a film.
There are not a large number of characters in the story and you find yourself wondering about each one and what motivation or opportunity could have presented itself, but in the end the outcome is unexpected though thoroughly satisfying!
Next time you look out a train window at a charming domestic scene, or even at your ordinary fellow train travellers, remember what you are seeing -may not be the case at all!
