This book was co-authored by Ganambarr-Stubbs and two other Yolngu knowledge holders together with Leonie Norrington. It tells a true history of Merrikiyawuy’s Grandmother who was kidnapped from Yolngu country in Arnhem land by traders pre–Captain Cook times.

The story has been sung and told orally from generation to generation and comes together here in the form of Western style literature.

Deeply fascinating and equally confronting. I could not put this book down!
