One lyrical review stated the book ‘would captivate fans of historical fiction and romantic tales.’ However, in order to truly captivate, a book needs to be far more dynamic in its story telling. This book is well written and planned, the main characters are generally likeable, the scenario believable, however it lacks punch. It can be read in a day, but it is not memorable.
