This book is a good long read, especially if you know something about the forbidding terrain of North Canada, and the rivalry between opposing First Nations communities.
Gold is a big part of the appeal, and European’s hope to outdo others and obtain wealth. This book has lots of deaths, accidental and planned. Man’s greed plays a big part in how the story unfolds.
