The Hidden Girl, by Lucinda Riley

Cover of The Hidden Girl, by Lucinda Riley.

A really good story which keeps you interested from start to finish.

It takes place between about 1930 to the 1990s, the focus being on two children from Warsaw that escape from the horrors of Treblinka holocaust to England and how their lives unfold. The central character is the daughter of the Housekeeper who works for one of them. At a young age she falls in love with the son. At the same time, she is spotted by a modelling agency as she is tall and beautiful. A very successful career begins.

There is an underlying dark side, and as time passes many secrets are revealed. I could not put the book down and read it in 3 days.
