Digital Library Update

eResource Queues

Have you been waiting weeks for the Harry Potter eAudiobooks on BorrowBox? Did you know they were available instantly, with no holds, through Hoopla? Were you aware that many titles are available on more than one of BorrowBox, hoopla, and Libby? Often, the queues for a title can be shorter on one service than they are on another.

For example, many eAudiobooks with long queues on BorrowBox are available now or with shorter queues through Libby. These were the dates some popular eAudiobooks were available on each service at the time of writing:

  • Black Sheep by Judy Nunn is currently not available until April 16 on BorrowBox, but is available on Libby in February.
  • Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus is not available until March 31 on BorrowBox, but is available now on Libby.
  • The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama is not available until March 9 on BorrowBox, but is available now on Libby.
  • Atomic Habits by James Clear is not available until February 8 on BorrowBox, but is available now on Libby.

BorrowBox

Lessons in Chemistry eAudiobook is not available on BorrowBox for over three months.

Libby

Lessons in Chemistry eAudiobook is available on Libby now.

Using our Online Catalogue, you can search for items in our physical collection, as well as items available through BorrowBox and Libby, allowing you to quickly identify items available on both services.  At present, you can only search hoopla through its own app.  Visit our Online Catalogue page to learn about how to use the catalogue, and more of the features available.

If you are less familiar with some of these services, we have included tutorials on how to install and use each of them below.  You can also visit our Digital Library page to learn more about the eResources we have available.
