Heartbreaking in its horror but the women’s courage in the face of adversity is astounding. Truly a beautiful book based on true-but horrific- events that stayed with me long after the last page. It is rare to find a book that focuses on the attack of Singapore and surrounds during World War II and from the nurse’s perspective, which makes it all the more interesting.
